Choose dates, then either a refundable deposit hold or a Damage Protection fee. Read and e-sign the one-page agreement. Your card is authorized now, charged only when the lender accepts.
Arrange the handoff in messages, snap a photo at pickup, live your life, return on time (12-hour grace). Late fees are the lender's daily rate, capped at the item's value.
Upload a photo or let the AI scan your camera roll for outfits. It writes the description, crops out your face if you want, and suggests prices. Set rent and/or sale price, deposit, late fee, cleaning fee.
Draw the neighborhoods you'll meet in on the map. Only people inside it see you in location search.
You review every request. Payout = rental + cleaning fee − our commission, sent to your bank via Stripe when the rental closes. Late fees and damage charges go to you in full.
The borrower. Every booking includes a signed agreement in which the borrower accepts the item's condition and replacement value, authorizes charges for late/lost/damaged returns, and acknowledges that neither the lender nor My Closet is liable for their use of the item. Deposit holds and Damage Protection make that promise real, and timestamped handoff photos make disputes short.
